These baked mini ham and cheese sandwiches are covered in a heavenly salty butter glaze that will soon be the easiest, crowd-pleasing finger food for your next gathering.
Delicious party food that will have your guests hovering over the appetizer table!
If you love the Hawaiian roll sliders that are so popular, then you’ll adore this fun twist using Ritz crackers– smaller but better! This easy appetizer is perfect for your next party, family gathering, or casual day at home with the kids when you’re craving a yummy snack. They’re salty, buttery, and crunchy with a hint of sweetness, making for an explosion of flavors in one little bite.
I’m always looking for easy snack ideas, whether it’s for entertaining or just a fun treat for my kids. When I tell you these baked ham and cheese crackers were a hit with my family, I mean they couldn’t put them down. My son ate half the batch in 5 minutes! Luckily, it’s easy to double or even triple this recipe. Everyone at your next shindig is going to want this simple yet amazing recipe.
This part is optional, but I was feeling a little EXTRA when I made these, so I decided to break out a flower shaped cooker cutter from my pantry to cut the ham and cheese (it just happened to be about the same size as the crackers). Of course, you can simply tear or cut the ingredients into small pieces before layering them on the crackers, but the fun shapes made preparing this recipe a little more exciting. 😃
Ingredients

How To Make Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches
This easy party appetizer can be personalized to your liking with the cheese, deli meat, and butter mixture of your choice! In fact, you could make a variety of options if you’re hosting a party with picky eaters. Feel free to customize this amazing finger food however you’d like. With that said, let’s get on to the step-by-step instructions!
Step 1Place 24 crackers in a single layer on a baking dish or pan. I used a 9×13 dish and it fit 24 crackers perfectly.
Step 2Next, cut or tear the ham and Swiss cheese into cracker sized pieces. Layer the ham and cheese on top of the crackers followed by another cracker. You may need to double the layers of ham if you’re using thin slices.
Step 3In a small bowl, melt ¼ cup butter in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. Stir in 2 teaspoons dijon mustard, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon poppy seeds until combined. Brush the top of each cracker with the butter mixture.
Step 4Bake these delicious cracker sandwiches at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crackers are golden brown on top. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving. Try not to eat them all before the party starts!
This is one of my favorite recipes to make for parties. It’s so cheap and easy to make with basic ingredients! If you’re looking for last minute recipes that will feed a crowd, look no further. These Ritz cracker party sandwiches are so addicting, your guests won’t want to put them down.
