This quick and easy dessert is the perfect sweet finger food for parties, potlucks and holidays using Rolo candies, mini pretzels, and pecans.
Chocolate Rolo Pretzel Bites are a 3 ingredient party snack that is sure to WOW everyone at your next gathering!
A few days ago I was in the mood for something sweet but I really didn’t want to bake anything, so I started rummaging around my pantry for an easy sweet treat I could slap together with minimal effort, and look what I discovered! The perfect combination of salty and sweet: mini pretzels, Rolo candy, and pecans. Doesn’t that sound like the most delicious combination? The best handheld treat for just about any occasion, whether you’re just hanging out at home or hosting a party.
This recipe could not be any easier, especially during the holidays when everything feels so hectic. With just a few basic ingredients you can make a fun treat that’s perfect to snack on. I plan on making them every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas, or anytime I’m looking for a last minute party treat.
Ingredients
- 24 mini pretzels
- 24 rolo candies (unwrapped)
- 24 pecan halves
How to Make Pretzel Rolo Bites
1On a parchment paper lined baking sheet, spread 24 mini pretzels in an even layer.
2Place an unwrapped Rolo candy on top of each pretzel. Bake at 350° F for 3-5 minutes, or just long enough for the chocolate to begin to soften. You don’t want the chocolate melting everywhere so keep a close eye on them.
3Remove from the oven and immediately place a pecan half on top of each melty Rolo. Gently push the pecan down just enough for the chocolate and caramel center to spread across the pretzel. Allow them to set until the chocolate is firm and then enjoy! You can place them in the refrigerator if you’re in a hurry.
I love this easy recipe because it is inexpensive, quick to make, and seriously delicious. They’re kind of addicting! To be honest, I inhaled almost all 24 Rolo bites in one sitting. SHHH, don’t tell my kids because they love this crunchy and gooey chocolate treat just as much as I do.
Not A Fan Of Nuts?
I hear you, some people just aren’t into nuts. Whether it’s due to an allergy or just a texture thing, there are a few options to make this quick and easy candy recipe nut free. Try replacing the pecans with M&M’s to make them colorful, or how about a piece of apple on top to make this dessert a little healthier? You could even just put another pretzel on top of the Rolos and squish it all together to make a pretzel Rolo sandwich. My mouth is watering just typing this up! I can’t wait to make this yummy dessert again.
Try making this easy holiday treat with M&M candies in place of the pecans for a pop of color! You could also make a combination of both.
