These crunchy mini donuts are a fun and easy snack to make for any occasion. A great replacement for popcorn on family movie night or anytime you want something sweet and delicious to munch on! My kids love them and I can’t help but eat at least half the batch before they even cool down.
Crunchy, sweet, and satisfying!
Ingredients
- 4 cups Cheerios Cereal
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Step 1In a large skillet, melt half a stick of butter over low heat and then stir in ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Step 2Pour about 4 cups of Cheerios into the melted butter and mix well. Continue to cook and stir for 3-4 minutes until the cereal is well coated in the butter.
Step 3Transfer the buttered Cheerios to a large bowl and slowly pour in the sugar and cinnamon. Toss well until the cereal is evenly coated.
These buttered Cheerios can be enjoyed right away or stored in an airtight container for later once they’ve cooled down. It’s hard to resist eating them right away! The sweet and crunchy combination is addicting.
