Warm Cream Cheese Chili Dip
If you’re looking for last minute party appetizer ideas, this warm and cheesy party food will soon be your favorite go-to party dip to feed a crowd. Double the recipe and use a larger pan if you’re serving more than 6 people.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 can of your favorite chili
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- chips for serving
Step 1Use the back of a large spoon to spread the cream cheese onto the bottom of a glass pie dish (or any small shallow baking dish). It helps if the cream cheese is softened, but it’s not necessary.
Step 2Evenly spread the chili over top of the cream cheese. Any chili works, with or without beans. You could even opt for a can of vegetarian chili or spicy chili.
Step 3Sprinkle about 1 cup of shredded cheese over top. I used a Mexican cheese blend because that’s what I had on hand, but cheddar or Monterey Jack are also great choices.
Step 4Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes or until the cream cheese is hot and the shredded cheese is melted.
Step 5Serve with your favorite bag of tortilla chips or Fritos Scoops. You could also top with jalapeños or serve them on the side to spice things up!
The great thing about this yummy dip is that it’s just as good once it’s been sitting on the counter for hours. Yes, you can serve it hot right out of the oven, but it’s just as delicious once it’s cooled for a bit so it will keep everyone’s bellies full and happy all night long.
