Cake Mix Apple Spice Muffins Recipe
The ingredients for this muffin recipe are so simple! You’ll just need 1 box of spice cake mix (preferably Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker), 2 cups apple sauce, 1 large diced apple and the optional mix-ins of your choice like raisins, walnuts or pecans. You could also add some finely shredded carrot or zucchini if you have them on hand. You know, hide some veggies when you can!
The hardest part about this recipe is dicing the apple, but that should only take you a minute or two. You can peel your apple if you’d like, but I prefer to keep the added fiber and nutrition that’s in the apple peel.
Once your apple is diced into small pieces, simply mix everything together and spoon it into a greased or lined muffin pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 18-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
