What You’ll Need
- 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix (dry)
- 1 1/2 sticks cold butter (3/4 cups)
How To Make Pineapple Cherry Dump Cake
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Next, layer the ingredients. Pour the pineapple (juice and all) into the dish and spread in an even layer. Spread the cherry pie filling on top of the pineapple. Then, sprinkle the DRY cake mix on top of the cherry pie filling and spread evenly with a spoon.
- Cut the cold butter into 18 equal pieces and place evenly over the dry cake mix.
- Bake the dump cake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. A scoop of ice cream on top is a must for this dessert recipe!
